[ὁ Ἀθη]ναίων ἱερέα δ[ι]ὰ βίου Ἀπόλ-
[λωνος] πατρῴου Γεφυραίων
5 [καὶ δαφνη]φόρου Εὔδημον
[Ἀφροδεισίου Φυ]λά[σ]ιον τῆς
[ἐν ταῖς συνηγ]ορίαις πίσ<τ>ε[ως]
[καὶ τῆς εἰς] τὴν πατρίδα εὐ-
[εργεσίας], ἀναθείσης τὸ[ν]
10 [ἀνδριάντ]α τῆς γυναικὸς [αὐ]-

Four fragments of white (‘Pentelic’) marble. According to the inscription, set up by the Areopagos, the boule of 500 and the Athenian demos, Athenais dedicated a statue to her husband, Eudemos, priest of Apollo, because of her benevolence and affection towards him. |
