1 Γν(αῖον) Κορνήλιον Τιβ(ερίου) Κορνηλίου Πούλχρου υἱὸν Φαβία Ποῦ[λ]χρον στρατηγὸν
τῆς πόλεως Κορινθίων πενταετηρικόν, ἀγωνοθέτην Καισα̣ρείων Ἰσθμίων, ἀρχιερ[έα]
τῆς Ἑλλάδος καὶ ἑλλαδάρχην ἀπὸ τοῦ κοινοῦ τῶν Ἀχαιῶν συ[νεδ]ρίου διὰ βίου, Ἠπείρου
ἐπίτροπον, Αἰγύπτου καὶ Ἀλεξανδρείας δικαιοδότην, ἄρχον[τα τοῦ] Πανελληνίου καὶ ἱερέα
5 Ἁδριανοῦ Πανελληνίου, ἄλλας τε μεγάλας δωρεὰς ἐπιδόντα καὶ τὴν ἀτέ[λειαν] τῇ πόλει παρασχόντα̣

Two fragments of a white marble base. Calpurnia Frontina set up an honourific inscription for her brother, Gn. Cornelius Pulcher, who was a prominent benefactor and official. The name of Calpurnia Frontina in the last line is enhanced through its positioning towards the centre of the inscription and its being written in bigger letters than the rest of the text. |
