   Comments:

Marble statue base formerly decorated with cymatium at top and bottom bearing an inscription set up by the polis in honour of Iulia, praising her wifely devotion. On the person, see Bradford, 286 (5). Spawforth 1985, 205-206 connects Iulia with the Eleusinion. She was also possibly the mother of Memmia Xenokrateia (RP II, LAC 542, see the relevant entry) and her probable husband, P. Memmius Deximachos (IV) was very prominent (RP II, LAC 561).
