Seven fragments of a base of white (‘Pentelic’) marble. Dedication of a statue to Aelia Kephisodora, grand-daughter of the dadouch Claudius Leonides, daughter of the dadouch Tiberius Claudius Lysiades, sister of the dadouch Claudius Sospis and wife of the sophist, hoplite-general, archon basileus and kyrex of the Areopagos Iulius Theodotos, by her husband and children, Iulius Theodotos and Iulia Kephisodora, with sanction of the Areopagos, on account of her moderation, virtue and blessing of children. Aelia Kephisodora was member of the famous Claudii of Melite. |
