1 Ἔκγονον ἠδὲ θύγατρα δυοῖν ὑπάτων Ἀρριανῶν,


οἳ σοφίαι πλοῦτον καὶ γένος ἠγλάϊσαν,


μύστιν Ἀθηναῖοι Κλημεντιανὴν παρὰ Δηοῖ


στῆσαν σωφροσύνης καὶ σοφίας ἕνεκα.

Base of white (‘Pentelic’) marble. Dedication of a statue to the initiate Clementiane, daughter of Arrian, descendant of two consuls of the same name, by the Athenians, on account of her moderation and wisdom.
