   Comments:

Bluish marble base. Inscription in honour of L. Papius Lupercus (COR 460), erected by his grandmother, Papia Methe. The name Methe (Μέθη) is Greek. Her grandson’s tribe (Falerna) is not Corinthian, but given the various ornamnena granted to him, L. Papius Lupercus must have been a prominent benefactor of the colony.
