Plaque of white marble with a relief representing a pair of eyes above the inscription. Dedication to Zeus Hypsistos by Philematin ex voto. This dedication derives from the former site of the Athenian Assembly on the Pnyx. The dedicant must have suffered from a disease or injury affecting the eyes, but the relief might also refer to the eyes with which the dedicant saw a vision of the deity or to the eyes of the deity himself.
