Πεδουκαίαν Μαρυλλῖ-
ναν τὴν ἀξιολογωτάτην
καὶ εὐεργέτιν, ἀδελφὴν
5 Λο(υκίου) Μινδίου Δαμοκράτους
τοῦ εὐεργέτου, λθ΄ ἀπὸ
Διοσκούρων, μα΄ ἀφ’ Ἡρα-
κλέους· ἐπὶ ἐφόρων ❦
Ξεναρχίδα τοῦ Δαμίππου,
10 Ἡίου Καλλιστράτου, Λεοντᾶ
τοῦ Λυσικράτους, Ζωσίμου τοῦ Ͻ,
Ἀπολλοφάνους τοῦ Ἀπολλωνί̣ου̣·

Marble statue base decorated on top and bottom with cymatium, bearing a honourific inscription set up by the polis of Gytheion for Peducaea Maryllina, who is characterized as ἀξιολογωτάτη and benefactress. Her brother was also characterized as benefactor and it is stressed the illustrious descent of the family from the Dioscuri and Heracles. Lastly, the statue was funded by the tamias of the city at his own cost. |
