Marble statue base in honour of M. Aurelius Nikephoros, dedicated by the polis of Sparta and funded by his wife, the άξιολογωτάτη Aurelia Aphrodisia. He was a renowned civic official, having served as synarchos of the eponymous patronomos, eponymous patronomos, perpetual agoranomos, perpetual gymnasiarchos and was honoured as philokaisar and philopatris, RP II, LAC 157.
